Shi Jia graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) from the National University of Singapore and holds a Master of Psychology (Educational & Developmental) from the Monash University. In terms of professional affiliation, she is a registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and a full member of the Singapore Psychological Society. Additionally, she is a certified Signposts Parenting Workshop facilitator.
Shi Jia has more than five years of experiences in conducting psycho-educational assessments with children suspected of learning difficulties. She currently holds the role of a Senior Specialist Psychologist at the MOE-Aided DAS Literacy Programme (MAP) Admissions Division. Besides assessments, her scope of work includes carrying out research related to learning difficulties, conducting workshops/awareness talks and mentoring of trainee psychologists. In addition, she has conducted literacy and behavioural intervention with children as well as parenting workshops. In 2012, she presented a poster at the International Dyslexia Association Conference in Baltimore, USA.
